First What are the causes of yellowing water quality?
1. Environmental factors
We usually use well water, mountain spring water, river water, or tap water as daily drinking water. Many of them are natural water sources, so they are often affected by the external environment. For example, when the weather is clear, the water quality settles relatively orderly and is very clear. However, when the weather is bad, such as on rainy days, it can cause water sources to be polluted, mixing with silt and fallen leaves, resulting in turbid raw water.
2. Aging of water supply pipes
If the raw water we use daily is tap water, why does the water quality still turn yellow? What is the reason? It is because in the early days of urban water supply, galvanized pipes were used. Prolonged exposure and use of water can cause the pipes to age and rust internally, causing rust inside the pipes to mix into the water, which results in yellow water. The pH value of tap water is also one of the factors that affects pipe corrosion.
3. Excess iron and manganese ions in raw water
In fact, in China, many people's drinking water is still sourced from groundwater. One important factor for exceeding standards in groundwater is the excessive iron and manganese ions in the water, which causes the water to turn yellow. If the content of Fe2 in the water is too high, it reacts with O2 in the air to form Fe3, turning the water yellow and causing excessive iron and manganese ions in groundwater.

1. Centralized water supply in rural areas
Wells, mountain spring water, river water, or tap water are used as daily drinking water sources, so how should we address this issue? It is recommended to use integrated water purification equipment, which can remove silt and suspended matter from the water, and when combined with a dosing device, it can comprehensively eliminate the problem of yellowing water quality.
2. Daily Industrial Water Use
If the industrial water quality is yellow, we can use iron and manganese removal equipment. This equipment uses adsorption and ion exchange. When the filter media inside the iron and manganese removal tank adsorb iron and manganese ions, the media can then be soaked in a NaOH solution to restore its regenerative function. The operation of the iron and manganese removal equipment is straightforward: simply set the regeneration time, and it can meet the requirements for removing iron and manganese.
3. Pipe Corrosion
Since the previous pipes were made of galvanized steel, if rust occurs, the problem can be fundamentally solved by replacing them with PVC pipes. However, the cost is too high, so if it is only for household use, it is recommended to use a home water purification device, which can also solve the problem.
