The normal operation of ultrapure water equipment has certain requirements for the temperature of raw water, and it is not good if it is too hot or too cold. In this article, I will introduce to you what are the adverse effects of water temperature on ultrapure water equipment when the water temperature rises?

In a high-temperature environment, the performance of the reverse osmosis membrane of the ultrapure water equipment will be greatly negatively affected. When the water temperature increases, the desalination rate of the reverse osmosis membrane will decrease, which is inversely proportional. The reason is that in the state of fixed flow operation, the increase of water temperature will reduce the viscosity and lead to the increase of water flow, which directly leads to the decrease of operating pressure and ultimately the decrease of desalination rate. Therefore, when the water temperature rises, we should take corresponding measures to adjust and maintain it according to the actual situation.
In addition, the impact of high temperature is not only the decrease in the desalination rate of ultrapure water equipment, but also the increase in water temperature will make some microorganisms get a good growth and reproduction environment, so that the equipment will be polluted by microorganisms. Most bacteria are suitable for growth in water between 15°C and 30°C, and their metabolism and growth rates increase when the temperature increases.

And when the microorganism enters the concentrated water section of the reverse osmosis system, the nutrients in it are the nutrients for its growth and reproduction, which can multiply rapidly and form a biofilm on the surface of the reverse osmosis membrane within a few days, which increases the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet water of the reverse osmosis system, not only the desalination rate will decrease, the water yield will also be reduced, and the water produced will also be polluted.

The above is an introduction to the adverse effects of rising water temperature on ultrapure water equipment. When microbial contamination is found in ultrapure water equipment, measures should be taken immediately to clean the equipment. It is recommended to use 0.1% NaOH solution for chemical cleaning, cleaning environment is less than 30 degrees Celsius, and cleaning is carried out in an environment with a pH value of 11-12.
